FAO در جمهوری اسلامی  مربوط به ایران حرف  FAO مزیت نسبی در ارائه کمک های سیاسی و فنی در
 طیف گسترده ای از رشته ها را دارد که با چالش هایی که جمهوری اسلامی  مربوط به ایران حرف  در 
زمینه های مربوط به وظایف سازمان دارد مواجه است. در راستای تحقق «امنیت غذایی 
امن  مربوط به ایران حرف ، حفاظت از منابع طبیعی آن» به عنوان نگرش نهایی سازمان غذا و کشاورزی 
در کشور، سازمان از اولویت های کشور در اسناد ملی برنامه های توسعه شامل ششمین
 برنامه توسعه ملی 2017- 2021، و هماهنگ با اهداف استراتژیک سازمان و برنامه های
 منطقه ای مربوطه. طی پنج سال آینده، تیم FAOIR با همتایان ملی خود کار خواهد کرد و 
یک رویکرد برنامهریزی می کند که خواستار توسعه برنامه های استراتژیک مجتمع شده است،
 با توجه به ماموریت بلند مدت FAOIR که "الهام بخش و مشارکت در مشارکت در ترویج راه 
حل های پایدار برای پایدار توسعه "به عنوان مأموریت محلی آن در چهار حوزه: من) کشاورزی 
پایدار و محرمانه هوشمند ii) امنیت غذایی و ایمنی مواد غذایی، iii) انکشاف و انعطاف پذیری
 روستایی، و iv) اقتصاد مبتنی بر دانش و جامعه.

FAO retains a comparative advantage in the provision of policy and technical assistance in a broad range of disciplines addressing the challenges being faced by the Islamic Republic of Iran in sectors pertaining to the Organization’s mandate.

In line with the realization of a “Food Secure Iran, Safeguarding Its Natural Resources” as the ultimate vision of FAO in the country, the Organization supports the country’s priorities as stipulated in the national development plaing documents, including the Sixth National Development Plan 2017-2021, and in alignment with the Organization’s Strategic Objectives and relevant Regional Initiatives.

Over the next five years, the FAOIR team will be working with the national counterparts, taking a programmatic approach that calls for development of Integrated Strategic Programmes, in line with FAOIR’s long term mission seeking “to inspire and engage partners in promoting lasting solutions for sustainable development” as its local mission in four areas of:
